Don’t deny it.  Even though you are now way too cool to watch the Dukes of Hazard, there is a young stud inside that wants to get one shot at trying to outrun Rosco P. Coltraine in the General Lee.  Admit it. 

The 1969 Orange Painted Dodge Charger, made famous by Bo and Luke Duke was the star of the show, Dukes of Hazzard.  With doors welded shut, the only way to get inside the General Lee was to go feet first through the window.  I’d like to see Bo and Luke get through those windows now, 23 years after the show ended in 1985.

Jessica Simpson showed us that she had a few pairs of Daisy Dukes in her closet, when she played the infamous Daisy Duke in the made from television movie, The Dukes of Hazzard which came out in 2005.  Although the original Daisy was a brunette, Jessica Simpson was a fine stand in.

Another generation has been able to learn about the Cool General Lee, 1969 Charger, all because we just hadn’t had enough of the Dukes of Hazzard.

The New Dodge Viper SRT10, hitting the streets in Spring 2008.

The Racetrack ready Dodge Viper SRT10 is a 600 horsepower racing machine that goes from zero to 60 in 3.5 seconds and zero to 100 mph in 7.8 seconds.  The car’s estimated gas mileage is 12 miles per gallon, but who cares about gas mileage if you can afford this bad boy?

The car is designed with nothing but speed in mind.  Reportedly getting into the Viper can be tight, and the car is “difficult to tame”.  It is not made for a trip to the grocery store.  Although, if you have money, why not?  Why not drive this car to the grocery store, the mall, the post office.  If I had this car in my hands, everyone would see it.  This car wouldn’t be sitting in the garage under a cover.

The Dodge Viper SRT10 is a front engine, rear wheel drive 2 passenger, 2 door coupe.  Forget packing up the kids.  Leave them at home with the babysitter and take your wife out on a ride.
